Compact and neat
WIDE Automation EC type cylinders adopt a minimal design, free of external tie rods, using the external liner as a mechanical support for the cylinder itself.
The electric cylinders are completely customizable and come in 3 different versions:
- R, with ball screw, recommended when the application involves high peak loads, high-speed rotation of the screw and high precision;
- S, with a spherical shape, if high speed operation is required even when the loads are relatively small while high precision is not needed;
- T, with a trapezoidal shape, recommended when the application loads are small, speeds are low and less than absolute precision is required.
The cylinder screw is rotated by a step-by-step, direct current or brushless electric motor. The use of one and the other type of motor is foreseen according to the characteristics of use of the product.
The motor is fitted directly in line or, alternatively, a parallel transmission can be used.

WIDE Automation electric actuators can be used in place of air-pneumatic units. In fact, like the air-oil units, they can maintain the thrust/traction for an indefinite time.
On the other hand, the electric actuator maintains the ability to vary, with potentiometers or remote analog signals, the speed and the push/pull force at any point of the stroke.
All this, in the absence of torque pulsations, which would produce appreciable defects on the machined piece.
Bye bye,
pneumatics
WIDE Automation electric presser, like the corresponding pneumatic one, can keep any object being processed safely locked.

It has a useful stroke of 10mm for hand protection (on request, strokes from 0 to 300 mm) and operates in S1 duty, without interrupting the motor power supply. In addition, it can keep the workpiece locked even in the event of a power failure.
